Arizona 8 Hour Concealed Carry Course

Your instructor “Charles Heller” is the co-founder of the Arizona Citizens Defense League, which was the prime organization in the move to constitutional carry in Arizona, and many other improvements in the law.

Course covers the laws on the use of force in self-defense, some basic physical force skills, firearms handling, safety, the deadly force decision, and most importantly, how to handle the aftermath of the use of force. Knowing the laws and what to say afterwards can save a world of grief.

Day 1 includes:
Laws on the use of force in self-defense and other circumstances
Dealing with law enforcement generally and after use of force
Situational awareness and techniques to maintain it
Managing transitional spaces
Basic rules of firearm safety
Firearm storage and transportation

Day 2 includes:
The 5 basic skills of firearm handling
Ammunition selection
Holster selection
Gun cleaning
Live simulated defense exercises
Written test
Live fire with CO2 powered air guns
Permit paperwork

What to bring:
A legal pad, 2 pens (at least 1 in black ink)
Baseball cap, safety glasses or equivalent prescription glasses
Ear protection (optional, but a good idea)
Water bottle, snack
Your own firearm and holster if you wish (No live guns in classroom though)

Format:
Lecture, exercises, hands on learning with simulated weapons
Questions encouraged in logical progression
Range session with CO2 powered guns
52 minutes per hour of class with breaks
NO HANDLING OF LIVE FIREARMS IN CLASSS
