"Vance's Pintails"
I finally received a reservation card for the Imperial Valley WLR, Wister Unit for Saturday 12-19-09. It has been weeks since the waterfowl opener back in October and I needed some new gear and ammo. I headed to Turner’s Outdoorsman in San Bernardino, Ca. and found the "ONLY AMMO I EVER USE" on sale, (Kent Faststeel 3 1/2 #2's) and picked up several boxes, bought a camo tee and Duck Commander duck call. Around 2:30 am after picking our spot, "blind" we headed out and set out 70 duck decoys and waited for the sun to rise. It was going to be a bluebird day with some wind.
I was able to get the first shot's and downed these 2 Pintail. We hunted the whole day and got limits of puddle ducks for the two of us. Thanks Turner's for always having my ammo in "stock" and on "sale".
