Spirit of Life Adventures started because of one man’s God given dream. This dream has now become a reality for many children in Riverside, California. Tim Hardin, Executive Director and Founder of Spirit of Life Adventures, is changing the lives of the youth he is encountering with this non-profit organization. Spirit of Life Adventures mission is to introduce youth to Christ through the beauty and glory of the outdoors, by using bible studies, community service, hunter safety training, and adventure trips to developed relationships with these at-risk young people. The hope is that these relationships will help to develop skills, values, good attitudes, and a love within themselves that will change their lives for the better and they in turn will share this love for themselves and the outdoors with someone else. So far it’s working.
Spirit of Life Adventures has been on multiple outdoor adventures like “A Day at the Lake” where S.O.L.A. introduced over 30 kids to fresh water fishing at Irvine Lake. They have been blessed to have Turner’s Outdoorsman donate much of their equipment. S.O.L.A recently hosted a Pheasant hunt for those who had passed their hunter safety course and had completed their 10 hours of hands-on training, which was also sponsored by Mike Raahauges Shooting Enterprises, Raahauges Pheasant Club in Norco, Ca as well as Turner’s Outdoorsman.
S.O.L.A not only introduces these youth to Fishing, Hunting and Shooting, they make a large effort in educating the kids about the conservation of our precious resources. The community service project they just completed was in Anza, helping to repair and rebuild a guzzler, so that wildlife in the area would have water through the dry summer months.
Spirit of Life Adventures would not be possible without the assistance of awesome volunteers and sponsors that take their personal time to help and guide these young people and we are very grateful for their continued efforts.
